Dr. Michael Hoffman

Dr. Michael Hoffman received his doctorate and master’s degrees in acupuncture and East Asian medicine from Daoist Traditions College in Asheville, NC. He attended Emory University in Atlanta, GA for his undergraduate degree, receiving a B.A. in Religious Studies with a concentration in Tibetan Buddhism.
Michael works with patients to recalibrate their body and spirit to live harmoniously with life’s natural cycles.

Michael provides functional medicine and Chinese herbal medicine to uncover the root cause of symptoms and create a personalized plan for healing. Instead of simply managing symptoms, Michael evaluates how body systems—like digestion, hormones, and energy—are interconnected and where imbalances may be occurring. During the session, he reviews health history, lifestyle, and current concerns. Clients receive a comprehensive, written care plan that includes targeted supplement and Chinese herbal recommendations, personalized dietary guidance, and clear, prioritized next steps to support their healing process.
While originally from Tallahassee, Florida, Michael recently moved to Asheville, NC and provides telehealth services for Ha.Lé Integrative Health.
Outside of his passion for medicine, he enjoys playing chess and bass guitar, swimming, and taking naps with his Flemish giant rabbit.
