Stress. Chronic pain. Insomnia. Stress takes a big toll on our health and yet we live in a society that demands more and more of our time and attention. Awareness is different from alertness in the nervous system. How can we learn to practice more mindful awareness when there are so many urgent things that need to happen?

Mindfulness teaches us how to reduce our stress and the way that stress lives in the body. Research shows that it takes 8 weeks of regular mindfulness practice to make lasting changes in our health. It also shows that once we get through those 8 weeks, we will have shifted our baseline and improved a whole spectrum of health and wellness markers.

Practicing mindfulness gives you tools for moving stuck stress out of your whole self: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. This allows you to sleep better, feel better, and perform at a higher level. Here’s how it works:

Our Process:

Intake: We will review any previous notes on your care with other providers.

Assessment: We will assess your physical, mental, and energetic body before and during treatment.

Treatment: May include Qigong, Feldenkrais, Mind Body Therapy, restorative yoga, breathwork, energy medicine, and mindfulness meditation as needed.

Follow-up: We will make clear recommendations for your continuing care and best treatment.

Your course of treatment is designed to be most effective for you. Mindfulness treatments are designed to provide you with a daily home practice that can be continued for weeks or months. Chronic conditions can take longer to rebalance. The goal of Mindfulness is to provide relief from symptoms, reduce stress, and improve your sense of wellbeing.

Serving the greater Nashville area, our Mindfulness therapists have 30+ years combined experience including a Master of Medical Qigong, Yoga Therapy, Cancer Exercise Certification from the American College of Sports Medicine, and a wide variety of mindfulness certifications. Working closely with our board-certified physicians, they will guide you step-by-step through treatments to help you feel your best.
