There is growing awareness of traumatic stress and its prevalence. Awareness is the first step in treating this epidemic in our culture, society, and lives. The next step is to find a path to feeling better. That’s where we come in.

Our providers are specifically trained to support clients with histories of traumatic stress. We understand how to meet you where you are, and sometimes, that means slowing everything down until you feel more comfortable. This is not a delay in your care. The slowing down IS your care; we call it slow medicine, a patient-centered approach that prioritizes your comfort and understanding.

Our care is not just about treating symptoms but treating you as a whole person. We understand that trauma affects your entire being, and so our care is tailored to treat you comprehensively: body, brain, and gut. Integrating care modalities can interrupt the feedback loops that keep stress cycling through your system, providing comprehensive support and understanding.

Empowerment takes practice.

Mindfulness is a powerful tool for working through trauma responses. It doesn’t have to look like sitting still; mindfulness can be movement practices like somatics, stretching, qigong, and reiki. These practices help quiet your internal alarms by balancing the nervous system’s response time.

The more we regulate our alarm modes, the more the breath helps shift our nervous system, calm the signals, and allow our bodies to rest and restore. Traumatic stress can cause us to lock up and make it hard to breathe deeply and easily. Releasing this tension can make a massive difference in the moment, allowing us to move forward without the added weight of distress.

Relief for PTSD is not just a distant possibility; it is a reality, and integrative health makes a significant difference. A lot of the pain, sleeplessness, and anxiety you may be experiencing could relate directly back to traumatic stress. Integrative care empowers you to change your nervous system baseline, offering hope and optimism for your healing journey.

Healing happens one step at a time… join us on the journey.
